Summer Traffic

June 25, 2012

With summer, comes traffic, which isn’t fun. Especially when trying to get to your vacation destination.  Here was a traffic jam of Coca-Cola trucks and cars seen at the Springtime in Atlanta Convention. It is always amazing to see how many different type toys were made over the years for Coca-Cola. All of these vehicles were for sale at the Convention. Dates ranging from the 1950’s to the 1990’s.

Summer is Officially Here!

June 21, 2012

Yesterday was the first official day of Summer, but has already seemed like summer around here with the hot weather. It is a good time to sit back, cool off and have a frozen Coke.

This frozen Coke and Fanta poster was spotted at the Springtime in Atlanta Convention. The poster has a late 1960’s or early 1970’s look to it. I bet it would look great under a blacklight!

Frozen Coke items are somewhat hard to find, but there are many people who collect the frozen Coke signs, posters, light up signs, etc. that were produced over the years.

Labyrinth of Bottles

June 13, 2012

Bottle collecting can be an interesting, exciting and sometimes confusing hobby. The best place to learn about bottles is an antique bottle show and local collectors clubs . Bottle shows are held across the U.S., you can find any type of bottle imaginable at most shows and speak with collectors who are a vast source of information. Most dealers/sellers at the shows are bottle collectors themselves and will be glad to answer any questions.

For more information, local libraries, historical societies, etc may be helpful too.  Also, check out my ‘Bottle Books to Read’ post section.
